Jaffna College is located in the Eastern District of Sri Lanka. 1800 students and 1500 people from the surrounding community drink from water sources contaminated with harmful bacteria, including a well that is on school grounds. Drinking dirty water causes students to get sick which, among other things, negatively affects their studies. This is one of the 100 communities we want to bring safe water to this Christmas. | When the community gets safe water, we will film a video as everyone takes part in the celebration. We’ll then send this to everyone who has joined a team and participated so that each person can see how far that $10 christmas gift went.
